Start here to learn about admissions criteria for the American Professional Institute.
Students can graduate from certain programs without a High School Diploma or GED, however in order to obtain state licensure, and employment in your field you will need a High School Diploma or GED.
The school admits as full time students, high school graduates or holders of a General Education diploma.
The school also admits Ability to Benefit or ATB students. These students must pass a nationally accepted entrance test administered by an outside evaluator and be 16 years old or older.
Students who enroll in the Cosmetology, Nail Technician and Massage Therapy Programs will be required to have a High School Diploma or GED to be able to sit for the Licensure Exams.
Students who enroll in the Teacher Trainer and Cosmetology/Barber Bridge Programs will need a Master Cosmetology License to enroll in the programs.
There is no Title IV Financial Aid for the Cosmetology / Barber Bridge Program.
Students who enroll in other Allied Health Programs will have to have a High School Diploma or GED to sit for National Certification Exams.
A visit to the school and an interview with an admissions representative is required. If the student chooses to apply to the school, an application fee of 25.00 is required. All applicants are notified of their acceptance to American Professional Institute in writing through the Admissions Department.
Race, religion, sex, age, or ethnic origin has no bearing on acceptance.
