Nail Technician

  600 Clock Hours / 24 Credit Hours

Certificate Program:

The objective of this program is to prepare the student to become a professional nail technician with proficiency in having practiced and demonstrated the art of such services as manicuring and pedicuring with massage, sculptured nails, tip application with overlays and wraps. Our further objective is to train the student to manage a nail salon and assume salon responsibilities.

Program Description:

The Nail Technician Program is designed to meet State Board requirements. A combination of lecture and laboratory instruction includes personal hygiene and grooming, salesmanship skills in serving the public, bacteriology, sterilization, principles of sanitation, principles of chemistry, law and ethics. Proficiencies to be developed include basic manicure and pedicure with arm and hand and foot and lower leg massage, nail tip application, sculptured nails, nail wraps, paraffin therapy and nail art.

Enrollment: Monthly on start dates. Students must attend orientation.
